I’m Denna
With over 15 years of experience in business leadership, sales, and marketing across both agency and technology environments, my work has always focused on helping organisations grow, lead, and navigate change. That perspective became deeply personal when I stepped into leadership of my family’s business following the passing of my father, who founded and led the company for 25 years. He built the business from our basement into an organisation of 100 employees across three locations in Canada.
Taking full responsibility meant navigating operational complexity, family dynamics, and leadership continuity during one of the most uncertain periods in recent history, including the COVID-19 pandemic, and ultimately leading the company through a successful merger and acquisition process. Experiencing this transition firsthand exposed the full reality of ownership change. Strategic decisions, financial implications, governance challenges, and the emotional responsibility that comes with protecting a business built over decades. It also showed me how critical preparation, structure, and honest conversations truly are, and how costly uncertainty and delayed decisions can become.
Continuing my father’s legacy taught me that family businesses carry more than financial value. They hold identity, responsibility, and generational impact. That understanding continues to shape how I approach transition work today. After completing the transition of our family business, I chose to focus my professional work on helping owners, successors, and business families navigate similar moments with greater clarity, stronger preparation, and fewer avoidable risks.
If you are beginning to think about the future of your business, whether succession, sale, or leadership transition, this is the time to create clarity, strengthen readiness, and build a confident path forward.
Why work with me
Change is inevitable, whether planned or unexpected.
A business transition can unlock significant value or become a destabilising experience.
At its core, transition requires bridging perspectives. Bringing in an external viewpoint helps avoid costly mistakes, especially when it comes from someone with relevant business experience and lived transition insight. Someone who balances financial outcomes with personal legacy, openness with discretion, and genuine care for both the people and the business.
This is the balance I aim to bring to every transition I lead.
